The pump dynamic and static balance plate is a device to balance the axial force of the pump. When the pump is working, there is always pressure from the outlet end to the inlet end. In order to relieve pressure and reduce wear, a balance disc is installed in the pump design to reduce this force.
What is the pump dynamic and static balance plate ?
The balance disc is like a floating liquid lubricated bearing, the rotor is movable ( the balance disc is equipped with a pump, and the bearings at both ends do not limit the axial motion ). The balance disc and the balance drum are different, and the axial force can be automatically balanced, because the two gaps of the balance disc complement each other.
At present, the double-shell pump is stable in operation, convenient in maintenance and widely used. Combined with the maintenance process of double shell feed water pump, the function, measurement and adjustment of pump clearance are briefly described.
The leakage of the balance disc is large, and the leakage of the general pump is 4 % of the pump design flow ~ high head small flow pump up to 10 %. When the gap wears during operation, the leakage will also increase.
Factors affecting the balance disc leakage.
( 1 ) For the fixed balance plate, the greater the number, the greater the leakage ;
( 2 ) When the pump runs in the small flow area, the leakage increases ;
( 3 ) When b is large, the leakage is large ;
( 4 ) L1 hour leakage is large ;
( 5 ) b2 increases the leakage.
After balancing the disc deviation, the end plane is not perpendicular to the axis. After assembly, the balance disc and the balance ring are open, which can not balance the axial thrust, so that the balance disc wears the motor overload. Therefore, all pumps with balance disc devices should be tilted.
In the maintenance process of all pumps in power plants, due to the large number of feed water pumps, high pressure and high speed, the maintenance technology of feed water pumps is high. In the maintenance of the feed water pump, the maintenance quality of the pump is guaranteed by the correct measurement and adjustment of the gap under the condition of ensuring that the dynamic and static parts of the pump are free of defects. In the large number of clearance and maintenance data of the pump, each clearance and maintenance data is not standing, but interrelated and limited. The value of each gap is determined by the manufacturing and operation requirements of the pump.
